Hey I’m Hannah Missen. I have created my tumblr as a place where I can share my work and development over time, and also to express myself and my love for makeup and the industry. Make up is all about creating different characters and illusions which in itself is a challenge, I love to approach! You will be amazed with what you can achieve with even the simplest of make up! I am currently studying C&G diploma in media makeup and hair design level 3 at Cambridge Regional College. I enjoy doing my own makeup projects, I do a lot of make up on myself and take my own photos, building myself up a portfolio of what I can do and have done. There are many different career paths to take within the industry for example, fashion and catwalk, TV, movies and theatre, weddings and photography, and even for medical purposes... Etc. It’s limitless. At the moment I am really enjoying experimenting with all the different aspects, so I can get a feel for what I like the most! One subject in particular I love is the special FX, BLOOD AND GUTS and also being able to create something that when you look at it, it seems so real!
Seeing other makeup artist's work is extremely inspiring! Celebrities play a BIG role in the industry, I am forever looking in magazines and doing my research into the behind the scenes of makeup!
However, I hope you like my work, there will be much more to come! Comments, criticisms and other ideas are welcome because no matter how much experience you have there is always so much more to learn! :)
